Walker Modular Goes Carbon Neutral

Description

Walker Modular have recently signed a deal to construct 2000 bathroom pods to be delivered to the UK’s first carbon neutral Student Accommodation Block. Together with Bouygues and Hertfordshire University they will deliver 2000 bathroom pods starting in late 2013. The exciting development will be a truly Carbon Neutral scheme with the Site being totally off-grid, even generating its own electricity by way of Biomass.

Hertfordshire University have demonstrated that it is possible to build on a large scale whilst nullifying the impact on the environment. This could change the way such schemes are delivered.
