This Student Accommodation development introduces a four-storey red brick former warehouse building designed by Watt Tulloch & Fitzsimons in 1911 for Swanston’s Linen Company. The development includes the retention of the existing facades of 41-49 Queen Street. The scheme comprises 114no. Studios and 203no. cluster rooms (317 total), ground floor retail unit at Queen Street, common room, management suite, reception, laundry room, cycle store, plant room and bin storage area. The 317 Bedroom Swanston Hall on the corner of Queen Street is part of a wider student accommodation scheme which will bring great investment to Belfast. Walker Modular will provide Bathroom Pods for this development which is to finish by late 2018 as the university is now only welcoming students from the start of the 2019 academic year.
