The site is currently occupied by the former Coventry Boys and Girls Club and Coventry SQ Club, which will be demolished. The site itself is in the heart of the Coventry University campus. The development also provides a brand new, purpose built new facility for the Coventry Boys and Girls Club on a site on which they have resided for 53 years. This scheme is due for completion as a whole by the summer of 2020.
