Description

Creating a perfect blend of old and new, this scheme looks to bring the vitality back into three grade ll listed buildings by refurbishing them into an array of mixed use units through extensions and alterations. Celebrating such memorable architecture and its contribution to the diverse environment we now enjoy, Walker Modular will provide all Bathroom Pods for the grand restoration of the Leonardo Building on Great George Street in Leeds. Formerly the site of a print works building originating in 1900, this historical site is set to consist of student bedrooms in an arrangement of studios and cluster flats. The new student accommodation will be close to the University of Leeds, Leeds Beckett and Leeds Teaching Hospital and with the two-year build programme, building work is set to be completed by August 2023. All in all, this new build will support the ever growing student population while making a valuable re-use of some of Leeds most treasured buildings.
